The family of this Hillarys home required more space for their growing teenage boys. Originally they where going to build on the opposite side of their home and had plans drawn up by their own draftsman, but we suggested that if they built this it was going to disrupt their ability to live in their home and cost more than they had budgeted for. Also it was going to effect the natural light and thermal qualities of their home to the kitchen and main living room.
We redesigned their addition and economically added approximately 1.5m2 of hallway to their existing home to include a new theatre room and new meals room off the living room, a new spacious bedroom, a new large walk in linen, a powder room and toilet as we had to removed the existing toilet for access to the back of the home.
